Document Description
The applicant proposes to establish a farming operation which will include four fish ponds and a date orchard within two parcels. The property is currently being framed and served by the IID for water. The water is applied to the date palms and is controlled by irrigation gates. There will be four fish ponds which will be covered by nets. The date palms will measure approx 15-20 ft and there will be around 960 palm trees planted. The project is a farming operation, as soon as the fish and fruit are harvested, they are taken to buyer's warehouse. The fish are transported to Asian markets in CA and are transported to Coachella Valley processing centers.
