Caltrans District 12, in cooperation with the Orange County Transporttion Authority (OCTA), proposes to add a single general purpose lane on the mainline freeway and interchanges on Interstate 405 in both directions from Interstate 5 to State Route 55 between Post Miles 0.2 and 8.7, in the cities of Costa Mesa and Irvine and a portion of unincorporated Orange County in Orange County, CA.
