Pursuant to Division 14 of the California Vehicle Code, Transportation of Explosives, this project will remove 10.7 miles and extend 14.0 miles of currently designated routes for the transportation of explosives in order to reduce the potential risks of transporting explosives and enhance the public safety in the Bakersfield area.
