- Document Description
- Tesla Motors proposes to construct a new vehicular and pedestrian bridge over a drainage channel owned by the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District for the purposes of connecting two portions of Tesla-owned land situated on either side of the drainage channel. The bridge, which would be approx 85 ft wide and 100 ft long, would include four traffic lanes and a pedestrian walkway. The bridge is intended to enhance access to the factory for employees, suppliers, and deliveries. It would allow circulation among Tesla's properties w/o the use of the public ROW. The bridge design proposes one clear span across the drainage channel, entirely avoiding ACFC & WCD and any jurisdictional land. The span would be constructed of repurposed railroad cars, and would be supported by structural concrete walls. All bridge abutments would be constructed at the top of bank.
