Document Description
Caltrans proposes to replace existing culverts with larger size ones, stabilize unstable slopes and rehabilitate pavement along SR 243. The project will repair and upgrade facilities that were damaged from a series of heavy rains during February 2017. The roadway embankment slope eroded away and collapsed damaging various culverts, including PM 18.2 Culverts that failed will be upsized and slopes stabilized to rebuild the washed out embankment. Geosynthetic reinforced embankment will be installed above the culvert in upland area. The culvert will be extended to prevent any future washouts.
