Document Description
The proposed improvement and repairs to the existing Plant No. 8 include the following:
1. Repair the existing chain link fence and concrete block wall at the site;
2. Precise grading to direct storm water and sediment into onsite catch basins and away from the existing onsite reservoirs;
3. Maintenance of the onsite slopes and swales to control onsite erosion and convey storm water runoff to the catch basins;
4. Implement a new drought tolerant landscape plant to enhance the aesthetic quality of the site and provide additional screening;
5. Install a new percholorate treatment system to remove or reduce concentrations of perchlorate in the groundwater extracted from onsite wells; and
6. Install a new advanced oxidation system (that will use ultraviolet (UV) light to remove 1, 4-Dioxane from groundwater produced by a well at the site) within the existing structure on the project site.
