MPA Watch Program educates and engages the public, most directly underserved and at-risk youth, in understanding and safeguarding the LA region's Marine Protected areas. It is a hands-on ocean-going science and environmental education program that involves monitor and record all boating and fishing.
Involves regular operation of the waterkeeper boat and the MPAs with no expansion of use. The project also involves data collection related to the MPAs that will not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource.
