Document Description
The SNC will provide The Nature Conservancy with $100,000 to partially fund a NEPA/CEQA consultant to manage all necessary environmental and archaeological studies and prepare a draft EA for a potential forest health project. The EA would be an analysis of a proposed USFS project to improve forest and watershed health and resilience, to enhance wildlife habitat, and to reduce the risk of uncharacteristic, high-severity wildland fire, consistent with management direction in the Tahoe National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan as amended by the Sierra Nevada Forest Plan Amendment Record of Decision, collectively referred to as the Forest Plan.
