Document Description
The Tehama-Glenn Unit of CALFIRE is proposing a temporary Dining Facility project in eastern Tehama County, CA. The project will be located on the grounds of the Ishi Conservation Camp. The elevation is 2,000 feet. The project is located on flat slopes. Vegetation surrounding the property is open oak woodland. The project as proposed consists of demolishing an existing 20'x40' metal building, removal of the 24'x'40 concrete slab, and pouring a new 30'x50' slab to accommodate a 30'x50' metal building. Two trenches will be dug, one to tie into the existing water line. The sewer line trench will be approx. 300'x2'x4'. The water line trench approx. 80'x3'x4'. A temporary power pole will also be installed fifteen feet from the northwest corner of the new building. Soil disturbance will be less than one acre. Work is anticipated to last approx. one month. Lee Thomas from CALFIRE Northern Region Technical Services and Division Chief Dave Russel from CAL FIRE Ishi Conservation Camp will be coordinating work on the project. Work is planned to begin in Nov. 2017.
