The restoration project involves staking and installing perimeter fencing around 586 acres (approx. 4 miles), removing concrete along the property boundaries, installing gates at multiple entry points, line of site restoration of illegal OHV trails in highly sensitive habitat areas of the Mendocino cypress pygmy forest, removal of invasive species from old logging roads and skid trails, and weekly monitoring of the entire fence line.
The project is exempt because it falls within the CE classes listed above. Project activities described above do not have potential for causing a significant adverse effect on the environment. A CEQA Exemption Review Form for the project is on file at the OHMVR Division office listed above.
