Document Description
The USFWS is proposing a habitat restoration project along the Yuba River near the Tiechert Hallwood Plant in the community of Hallwood northeast of the city of Marysville in Yuba County. The project seeks to rehabilitate and enhance juvenile rearing habitat for Central Valley fall-run and spring-run Chinook Salmon and CCV steelhead in the Yuba River below Daguerre Point Dam as well as enhance riparian vegetation along the Yuba River through direct planting and improved natural recruitment. The proposed project would enhance 165 acres of improved seasonally inundated riparian floodplain habitats, 2 miles of perennials side channels and more than 6 miles of seasonal side channels, alcoves and swales on lands adjacent to the Yuba.
