Document Description
The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) will provide funding to the Camptonville Community Partnership towards construction of a biomass power generation facility that would include a small office building, a building to house the biomass power generation systems, outdoor storage for woody biomass chips, access roadways, and an evaporation pond. The anticipated use of SNC funds is for the purchase of a steam turbine generator. The project was evaluated by the Yuba County Planning Commission and was granted a conditional use permit (CUP) in 2019 after adopting the Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) and a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan (MMRP) for the project. The project has since been granted a two-year permit extension to complete construction of the biomass generation facility. The project was evaluated in its entirety in a CUP request supported by a MND and MMRP. SNC has independently reviewed the environmental analysis and determined the project would not result in significant environmental impacts.
