Konocti County Water District Water System Improvement Project
MND - Mitigated Negative Declaration
Present Land Use
water treatment plant intake and utility line
The recent drought caused Clear Lake to fall to its seventh lowest level recorded since 1973. The low level made apparent the limits of the aging infrastructure system to reliably provide water to meet the District's demand. The proposed project includes the replacement and enhancement of the following facilities related to the KCWD Water Treatment Plant: Lake Pump Station, 3,950 ft of 12 inch raw water main, Train 2 Filter Pump Station and Filter 4, 0.5 MG Clear Well, High Lift Pump station, SCADA and Electrical improvements.
