Document Description
Project sponsor proposes to remove an existing 80 foot static pole sign located at the northwest corner of the shopping center and replace it with a digital pole sign. A total of two trees are proposed to be removed, but would be replaced with two trees included in the landscape plan. The proposed pole sign consists of a four hundred sq. ft. (20' x 20'), double-faced sign with a maximum height of one hundred twenty feet and utilizes light emitting diodes (LED) with 10MM pixel spacing. Light levels are proposed to be responsive to changes in ambient light that naturally occur in a 24 hour period. Nighttime brightness levels are proposed to be 15% of daytime levels as not to create a distraction to drivers on Hwy 280. The sign will be designed to be visible to passing motorists and will only display static images of on premise tenants at 280 Metro Center, changing every 8 seconds between the images.
