The proposed project is a sewer line abandonment and new sewer installation within the City of Goleta, unincorporated Santa Barbara County, and on UCSB property to address a capacity deficiency in the existing 24-in sewer running through the Storke Ranch development. In lieu of expansion of the existing Storke Ranch sewer pipeline, the project involves installation of approx 3,800 ft of sewer line along Phelps Rd between Pacific Oaks Rd and Sycamore Walk, approx 1,900 ft of sewer line on UCSB property along Mesa Rd from Sycamore Walk to the existing Mesa Rd sewer line, and approx 900 ft of sewer line on UCSB property extending south along Sycamore Walk from Mesa Rd. Approx 1,500 ft of existing sewer line on UCSB property would be abandoned, including a portion within the West Storke Wetland.
