As a primary entryway and gateway into the city of Laguna Beach, the city proposes improvements at and surrounding Laguna Canyon Road, Forest Avenue, and city hall to beautify the project area, enhance pedestrian connectivity, and reconfigure parking. The project has been designed to be a pedestrian-oriented area that links the art festival activity areas to the downtown village and Main Beach. The proposed project can generally be categorized by the following primary components: 1) parking facilities; 2) landscape/aesthetic enhancements; 3) multi-purpose pathway; and 4) center median improvements along Laguna Canyon Road.
