Document Description
The County of Santa Barbara proposes to amend the Land Use and Development Code (LUDC) to revise and clarify the permitting requirements for hoop structures and shade structures on agriculturally zoned lands in the inland unincorporated areas of Santa Barbara County. Key components of the amendment include: identifying hoop structures and shade structures as allowed uses in the Agricultural I & Agricultural II zones; allowing hoop structures and shade structures that are no taller than 20 feet with a permit exemption; and identifying operational development standards that must be applied in order to qualify for the permit exemption.
