The structure will be elevated on steel pilings to comply with FEMA and city floodplain requirements as well as to conform to guidance of the Coastal Commission regarding sea level rise. Related improvements will include a minor widening of Addie St at the project frontage and a demolition of a portion of neighboring vacation rental extending onto the subject property.
