- IRWD, as a landowner in DRWD, proposes to extend an existing approved multi-year 2 for 1 exchange program (2013-2017) to deliver up to an additional 12,240 acre-feet of water from DRWD to IRWD's groundwater banking facilities located in Kern County (Stand Ranch Integrated Banking Project or Stockdale Integrated Banking Project) into storage in Metropolitan Water District of Southern California's ("MWDSC") system; 50% of the water would ultimately be delivered to IRWD's service area and 50% would be returned to DRWD. There is no construction, land use change, or modification to existing facilities; no new lands will be brought into production as a result of the requested exchange.
