Project is to repair a landslide that occurred during major winter storms of January 9, 2017. Slide resulted in the loss of roadway shoulder, and a nearly vertical drop-off extending from the remaining roadway to the bed of Las Trampas Creek. St. Mary's Road is heavily used and would pose a risk to public safety if not repaired.

Governor Brown issues two emergency proclamations for the State of California on January 23, 2017, with affected areas including Contra Costa County.
