Document Description
The current property owner is proposing to rehabilitate the second floor of the existing commercial building to accommodate nine (9) one (1) bedroom apartments. The project entitlement includes a CUP to allow for multiple family dwelling, three or more, in the DC Zone. The proposed apartments will range in size from 510 square feet to 780 square feet on the 8,000 square foot second floor. Each apartment will have a separate living area, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Shared laundry facilities will be located in the hallway allowing for easy access. Each apartment will have extra storage located in the hallway. Trash receptacles will be located on the first floor. As mentioned, there are no proposed improvements to the exterior. There are also no changes to the first floor of the building. It is to remain commercial. The property is zoned DC (Downtown Commercial). Residential use is permitted in the DC zoning district subject to the approval of a Conditional Use Permit.
