Document Description
The existing levees at the BMKV and SLC parcels have degrade and been repairs in the past; some maintenance and repairs will likely be needed in the future. Maintenance is a safety issue for the Bel Marin Keys community, and necessary to maintain "restorability" of the BMKV and SLC parcels, which have subsided.

The proposed work would consist of routine maintenance as well as repairs of specific portions of the levees when needed. The workd involves no expansion of levee use. Work may also occur in previously-disturbed borrow areas or agricultural fields on site, to provide a source of fill or repairs of the levees. Measures will be implemented to prevent impacts to sensitive species and habitats.
