Document Description
The San Joaquin Field division will perform maintenance on the Devil's Den Pumping Plant (DEPP) forebay. This requires the forebay to be dewatered into a nearby sediment basin. The sediment basin is too small to hold all of the water, so excess water has to be released onto the Berenda Mesa Water Dstrict spoil site. The sediment basin would be expanded, so that all the water is captured. Sediment basin #2 located along the DEPP primary aqueduct road near Kecks Rd, also needs maintenance. It is used to store and burn vegetation. The basin is filled with debris and the walls have partly collapsed.
