Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2016-0386-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mr. Utah Blue The project is limited to four encroachments. Two encroachments are for water diversion for domestic use, irrigation, and micro-hydro power generation. Water will be diverted from two Class II streams with one stream provided consumptive water, and the second stream providing power generation through water pressure. Work for the water diversion projects includes use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Two additional encroachments are proposed to upgrade road/stream crossings on Class III watercourses. Work for these projects will include excavation, removal of the old culverts, installation of new culverts, placement of rock armoring, and erosion control as necessary to minimize erosion.

Reasons for Exemption
The project proposes to divert water for domestic use and irrigaton and improve a Class III ford. There will be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probably future projects.
