Document Description
The purpose of this project is to replace the root-bound leach lines for the Heber Dunes residence, camp host sites, the old office building, and the new office/shop building septioc systems. The project entails exacavting and removing the existing infiltrator lines (setting the spoils to the side for re-use) and then smoothing the exposed ground surface, installing new infiltrators in their place, before covering them with drain rock and an additional layer of biofilter fabric and finally wrapping the sides of the trench fabric over the top. Then the trenches will get filled back up with the spoils that were exacavted from that site. The anticipated area of impact would measure approximately 150' (L) by 30' (W) with depths measuring up to 6' deep at each location. The excavation work is expected to be done using a backhoe tractor amd the placement of the infiltrators will be done by hand. repairs to each individual system will be completed to 90% before the next system will be taken off-line. this will serve to minimize the exposed trench areas and reduce the septic systems down-time from operation during the course the project. The 10% reminaing will be the final handwork to get rid of heavy equipment and the installation of carsonite markers to delineate and protect the leach zones from vehicle traffic.
