Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0374-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to Adrienne Moore, representing City of Willits. The project is limited to one encroachment. The project will replace a failing, 24-in diameter culvert with a 48-in diameter culvert, repair road and berm/bank damage from the culvert failure. The outflow of the new culvert will discharge onto rock to dissipate energy, and the inside of the culvert will be lightly rocked to collect sediment and aid in amphibian passage. Live willow stakes will be planted on the berm and bank of Broaddus Creek to replace Himalayan blackberry removed for the project.

The project replaces a culvert with a culvert that is correctly sized, placed, and aligned, and damage to an existing road and berm. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
