Document Description
SMUD would lease land to a third party to build and operate a PV solar power facility (up to 152 MW). The project includes installation of PV solar modules, foundation piles, racking, direct current collection, alternating current collection, inverters, medium voltage transformers, high voltage substation, switchgear, battery storage, and interconnection to the existing SMUD transmission project. An existing solar site would be decommissioned and the site would be reused. Construction would take approx. 13 months, would begin in 2019, and conclude in 2020. At the end of the project's useful life (30-35+ years), the site would be decommissioned.
