Document Description
The Carman II Watershed Restoration project is designed to help improve watershed conditions. This watershed has been adversely affected by 150 years of intensive human disturbance including grazing, railroad construction, and logging. These disturbances have contributed to degradation of this watershed, which can be characterized as follows: the main channel was diverted and confined in many places throughout the watershed resulting in an incised eroding channel; most valley bottom meadow systems are at risk of loss due to erosion. the project will reestablish flow in remnant channels, fill incised channels, and restore floodplain connectivity.
