Document Description
A remedial action plan has been prepared and identified preferred methods for remediation of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon-contaminated sediments offshore of the former Potrero Power Plant. The proposed project is the implementation of the remedy described in the RAP. The RAP describes several methods that are proposed for remediating sediments in specific areas of the site, including sediment removal, in situ treatment of sediments, capping to ensure protection of human health and the environment, and monitored natural recovery/attenuation. Materials management and staging areas for remediation activities include the adjacent upland areas at PPP and Pier 70; drying of removed sediments may occur either at Pier 70 or as an alternative option at Berth 10 at the Port of Oakland.
