The proposed ALUCP will replace the existing ALUCP for the airport adopted by the Butte County ALUC on December 20, 2000, and last amended December 2010. The need for updating the ALUCP for Chico Municipal Airport is due to local and state level changes that have occurred since the plan was adopted in 2000. In 2006, the airport owner and operator - the Franklin family- changed the airport's status from public-use to a private-use airport and shortened the length of the airport's single runway. The proposed ALUCP is regulatory in nature and neither the project - the adoption of the ALUCP - nor its subsequent implementation by local agencies would directly lead to any new development or physical change to the environment.
