Document Description
The District proposed Project included constructing a 1.0-million gallon welded steel tank south of Fox Street and east of Headly Street, to replace their Orange Tank- a .15-million-gallon tank- and provide for current and future growth. The District will also construct a series of precast catch basins, concrete lined brow ditches, a riprap swale, a .15-million-gallon 3-foot deep on-site detention basin with emergency spill way, and a tank overflow pipe. Access and maintenance roads will be installed, including a 18-20-foot wide paved access road connecting to Fox Street. Other structures to support tank operations will also be installed, including a valving structure, electrical service by Southern California, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) communications. The Project will also include installation of a 12-inch diameter, 1, 760-foot long pipeline under Fox Street and Ellis Road to connect the new tank to the rest of the system. Existing water services at Salter Road and Fox Street will be tied into the new pipeline. The old Orange tank will be demolished. An 8-foot barbed wire chain link fence will be provided around the property.
