Document Description
The proposed project is a specific plan that encompasses approx 760 acres, located primarily within the city of Salinas (a small portion of the northwest corner of the specific plan area is currently located outside of the city of Salinas). The CASP was designed using the principles of New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development. TND, also known as village-style development, represents a comprehensive planning system that includes a variety of housing types and land uses in a defined area. The specific plan will serve as a bridge between the Salinas General Plan and individual development applications in the specific plan area.
