The proposed project consists of the installation of two groundwater monitoring wells along the Banning Fault for the purpose of Monitoring groundwater levels along this groundwater barrier. The data will be used to evaluate groundwater levels in the vicinity of nativ Mesquite Hummock habitat.

Therefore this proposed action is not forecast to cause any potential for significant adverse environmental impacts and qualifies with the requirements for Class 6 exemption.
