A 48, 165 foot, three-story residential building, containing 46 attached affordable housing units is under construction on a vacant 0.85-acre loy on property located at 1680 S. garey Avenue, Pomona, CA, The 46-unit residential apartment building will provide 23 units for low income supportive housing and 23 units for housing for homeless individuals and households. ZNE design strategies will be demostrated at the site. This community is CEQA exempt under CEQA Categorical Exemption #15332 (in-fill development project). LINC will develope this community as ZNE-ready during this project. The project team (EPRI) will monitor the energy consumption of the community, expand PV size (current PV sidze is 35kW) and add storage if feasible.
The lead agency, the City of Pomona, has determined that the development project is consistent with the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance of the City of Pomona. There the City of Pomona has determined that the project falls under CEQA categorical exemption 14 CCR Section 15332 for Infill Development Projects.
