Document Description
After the winter storms of 2016/2017, it was discovered that excessive erosion in the watershed above Sheriff's Cove had caused the deposition of thousands of cubic yards of sediment at the mouth of Sheriff's Cove. This sediment not only decreases the storage capacity of Ruth Reservoir, but may also continue to mitigate to the intake for the penstock, be passed into the penstock, and damage the hydroplant. It would also impact the use of the boat dock at Sheriff's Cover, which is the closest launch point for inspections of the log boom or the dam face.
