Document Description
A biogas upgrader (BGU) that separates methane from non-combustible gases will be sequentially demonstrated at two sites in Southern California. First, the unit will be sited at an existing Waste Management landfill in Simi Valley, California where it will demonstrate the upgrading of landfill gas. This first demonstration will be for a period of about 4 weeks. It will then be moved and used to upgrade biogas from an on-site degester at the existing MillerCoors brewery in Irwindale, California. The duration of this second demonstration will be about two weeks. At both sites, approximately 100 SCFM will be diverted from existing biogas infrastructure, treated, and returned to the original gas stream to be either flared or used to fuel a combined heat and power system consistent with the current practice of the existing facilities.
