Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead
Alameda County Industries is proposing operational changes at the MRF and Transfer Facility located at 610 Aladdin Ave and at the Limited Volume Transfer Facility operations located at 601 Aladdin Ave. These changes would require revisions to the MRF and Transfer Facility Solid Waste Facility Permit (SWFP No. 01-AA-0290) administered by CalRecycle and to the CUP administered by the city of San Leandro for both sites. The project would involve: construction of a 21,800 sf building over the current Transfer Facility; increasing the combined MRF and Transfer Facility's permitted tonnage from 412 tons per day to 620 tpd; increasing materials storage requirement to 48 hours; extending waste processing to 24 hours a day; accepting food waste/organics from 3rd parties & other operational changes.
