Document Description
The proposed project includes two components: 1) Rinconada Park Long Range Plan (LRP), intended to guide development of Rinconada Park over the next 25 years, and 2) redevelopment of the Palo Alta Junior Museum and Zoo facility and reconfiguration of the adjacent parking lot, including provision of landscaping, storm drainage system, and lighting; the JMZ project includes demolition of the existing JMZ and construction of a 15,033 sf building to house the JMZ museum and zoo, and enlargement of the outdoor zoo area. The LRP envisions improvement to circulation and the west playground area, tennis courts, pool area, arboretum, multi-use concrete bowl, and street and access improvements on Hopkins Avenue, Newell Rd, and Embarcadero Road.
