Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program is financing the Project. The Project proposes to integrate eight water systems into the Rosamond Community Services District’s distribution system to provide potable water that meets applicable state and federal water quality standards. All of these systems have a water distribution system currently supplied by groundwater wells. Arsenic levels for most of the systems are above the Max Contaminant Level of 10 micrograms per liter. High levels of other constituents such as chromium and uranium are also present. Additionally, six of the eight systems contain only one well, and lack reliability of supply if that single well failed. Construction would consist of activities including digging, trenching, and excavation of soil to install various sizes of new pipeline.
