Document Description
The project consists of construction and operation of a non-potable water connection pipeline to provide non-potable water from the Coachella Canal to the Bermuda Dunes Country Club water impoundments for irrigation. The non-potable water connection includes a connection to the Canal, a pump station at the Canal, and a pipeline from the pump pipeline will also include a stub-out connection near the intersection of Glass Dr and Avenue 42 to provide water to Myoma Dunes Mutual Water Company in the future, if necessary. Construction is anticipated at four months duration. The purpose of the project is to provide non-potable water to BDCC water impoundments for irrigation. By providing non-potable water to BDCC for irrigation purposes, CVWD decreases groundwater overdraft by substituting non-potable water for groundwater that would otherwise be extracted thereby allowing groundwater to remain in storage.
