Document Description
The project would involve the construction and operation of one photovoltaic (PV) power-generating facility, on three contiguous sites, which would produce a combined total of 60 megawatts (MW) of electricity with up to 360 megawatt hours (MWh) of energy storage on approximately 493.5 acres of land in unincorporated Kern County. The proposal includes: Northern (Sunbow) Project Site: Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow for the construction and operation of a 20 megawatt solar photovoltaic electrical generating facility, including energy storage (Section 19.12.030.G) in the A FPS (Exclusive Agriculture - Floodplain Secondary Combining) District (CUP 37, Map 214 ). Southeastern (Tours) Project Site: Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow for the construction and operation of a 20 megawatt solar photovoltaic electrical generating facility, including energy storage (Section 19. 12.030.G) in the A f-P (Exclusive Agriculture - Floodplain Combining) District (CUP 38, Map 214). Southwestern (Syracuse) Project Site: Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow for the construction and operation of a 20 megawatt solar photovoltaic electrical generating facility, including energy storage (Section 19.12.030.G) in the A FP (Exclusive Agriculture - floodplain Combining) District (CUP 39, Map 214); and Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow for the construction and operation of a communication tower (Section 19.12.030.F) in an A FP (Exclusive Agriculture - Floodplain Combining) District (CUP 4 1, Map 214).
