Document Description
The project will address existing distribution and source capacity deficiencies by equipping the existing Well No. 5 with a new pump, booster pump system, hydropneumatic tank, site piping, and appurtenances to connect to a newly constructed 900,000 gallon steel water storage tank. The capacity of the existing drainage pond located on the Well No. 5 parcel will not substantially change, as material from the existing pond will be excavated to build the foundation for the storage tank, effectively maintaining the existing capacity of the drainage pond. The project also includes replacement of approx 12,000 lf of primarily 4" diameter asbestos/cement and steel pipeline with 8" diameter PVC pipeline, approx ten fire hydrants, a SCADA system, sectionalizing valves, water services, and other incidental items throughout the District.
