Document Description
The project proposes roadway and infrastructure improvements along Garfield Ave. For the proposed alignment, an existing 2.09-mile, four-lane segment of Garfield Ave between Meridian Drive-70th St and Howery St, the project will include traffic capacity enhancements (four to six lanes), utility undergrounding, stormwater improvements and streetscape improvements. As a major north-south corridor, Garfield Ave is a major arterial in the city's general plan with ultimate width of 100 ft that would include six lanes, a raised center median and additional left-turn pockets at major intersections. The project would potentially improve safety and capacity along this roadway segment.
