Document Description
The road shoulder of Buchanan Rd has been damaged by a slope embankment failure measuring 90 ft in length, 6 ft wide and 50 ft deep. The proposed project includes work performed by county crews to safely barricade the edge of the slope, and continued monitoring of the site. Future work will include stabilization or the slope, and repair of the shoulder to pre-impact conditions.

After reviewing the project and its setting, the Environmental Coordinator for the county of Tuolumne has determined that the project is statutorily exempt from review under CEQA pursuant to section 15269 and section 15301 of the State CEQA guidelines b/c emergency repair and restoration projects are exempt as defined in section 15269 and b/c Buchanan Rd is an existing roadway facility as defined in section 15301.
