The proposed project includes the removal of two ft of flood water that covered Parrotts Ferry Rd, making it impassable and permanently halting traffic flow. Work performed by law enforcement to provide traffic control and the Fire Department to use a 1,000 ft long hose to pump floodwater to a safe passable level.

After reviewing the project and its setting, the Environmental Coordinator for the county of Tuolumne has determined that the project is statutorily exempt from review under CEQA pursuant to section 15269 and section 15301 of the State CEQA guidelines b/c emergency repair and restoration projects are exempt as defined in section 15269 and b/c Parrots Ferry Rd is an existing roadway facility as defined in section 15301.
