Document Description
A 24-in diameter corrugated steel culvert crossing pipe located under Old Highway 120 was damaged during a storm event, causing a structural failure of the pipe, and subsequently, water to traverse under the roadway outside of the pipe itself. The proposed project includes emergency repairs already completed and additional construction work to replace the corrugated metal pipe, perform minor roadway patching, and inlet and outlet protection. The repairs include preliminary engineering services, and the construction contract, construction inspection, and construction testing.

After reviewing the project and its setting, the Environmental Coordinator for the county of Tuolumne has determined that the project is statutorily exempt from review under CEQA pursuant to section 15269 and section 15301 of the State CEQA guidelines b/c emergency repair and restoration projects are statutorily exempt as defined in section 15269 and the repair of Old Highway 120, an existing roadway facility, is categorically exempt as defined in section 15301.
