The proposed project is construction and use of a new 2,300 sf retail building with signage and landscaping. The building will be for a Western arts gallery. This parcel (APN 002-332-009) has a land use designation of MU. Property is currently vacant and is approx two acres in size.
The project qualifies for a class 3 exemption from the provisions of CEQA. Class 3 - new construction. A class 3 exemption consists of construction and location of limited number of new, small facilities or structures such as; "A store, motel, office, restaurant or similar structure not involving the use of significant amounts of hazardous substances, and not exceeding 2,500 sf in floor area."
