Document Description
The purpose of the project is to enhance traffic flow and minimize breakdown of signal hardware by upgrading and replacing antiquated traffic signal controllers and hardware for the traffic signals along Las Virgenes Road, Mulholland Hwy and Old Topanga Canyon Rd in the city of Calabasas. The project includes signal synchronization, interconnection, and upgrade of computer equipment to the city's Traffic Management Center. The interconnection between signals and between the signals and the city's TMC along Old Topanga Canyon Rd and Mulholland Hwy is mostly through wireless antenna and some underground conduits with fiber optic cables. Signals along Las Virgenes Rd are already interconnected with fiber optic cables. The interconnection enables bi-directional communication between the signals and the city's TMC.
