Document Description
The Empire Westside Irrigation District is a State Water Project contractor. The proposed project is the transfer by EWID of up to 1,500 acre feet of its 2017 Table water to Kern County Water Agency for Sandridge Partners Incorporated, who farms in both districts. The transfer will be completed in 2017 and is to enable both KCWA and EWID users to better manage each agency's respective water supplies. No lands will be fallowed as a result of the transfer and no additional groundwater will be pumped. The lands have been actively farmed in the past. The water will be delivered within the SWP Place of Use.

The water will be delivered to lands that have been in ag production for many years. There will be no change in land use.
