This project proposes to install a pump to recirculate water in the 'Indian Lavanderia Fountain' so it can be filled and functioning without using irresponsible amounts of water. The historic system was dependent upon available well or surface water supply availability; this will simply be a water-conserving-preserved feature of the historic landscape. DPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project.

No potential for significant impact to the environment is anticipated in compliance with CEQA 15300.2. If the project is implemented as indicated within the project description including conditions provided CDPR specialists, then it is exempt under 15301 - existing facilities. The action falls under the Department list of exempt activities according to 15300.4 as outlined in the Operations Manual, chapter 0600: class 1, 15301: minor alteration of existing public structure.
